NEW MUSIC PREMIERE: FLEETWOOD MAC - EXTENDED PLAY
Fleetwood Mac have unveiled their first new material in ten years, with the official release of new EP, ‘Extended Play’.
The EP was sent to iTunes earlier today (30 April) and features four new tracks including ‘Sad Angel’ and the Stevie Nicks-penned ‘Without You’, both of which feature on the setlist of the band’s current tour. The collection is completed with two previously unreleased tracks ‘It Takes Time’ and ‘Miss Fantasy’.
For me, ‘Sad Angel’ is the highlight but, whilst there’s something reassuringly nostalgic that stirs something deep inside me when I hear the group singing together, there is certainly nothing here of the calibre of classic Mac offerings like ‘Go Your Own Way’, ‘Tusk’, ‘Albatross’, ‘Rhiannon’ or ‘Little Lies’.
